The Erie Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to this year's annual Parade of Lights!
Join us for this dazzling parade as it travels through downtown Erie.
Come out and enjoy our downtown area, local school choirs, free Carriage Rides and a visit with Santa just before the Parade of Lights! Enjoy Open Skating!

Volunteers are an integral part of the Chamber and help to make our events successful. There are several events throughout the year that Volunteers are needed.
Volunteering is a great way to get to know business members and other members of the community.
The Chamber events can also offer great community service hours for students who may need volunteer hours for school or other organizations.
Local Choirs Singing - 4:00pm-6:00pm
Choirs will be inside Orchard Community Church at 470 Briggs Street.
Vista Ridge Academy Choir - 4:00-4:20
Erie High School Topaz, CR5, & 5130 - 4:25-5:35
Enjoy some hot chocolate and snacks while listening to these wonderful school choirs!
Free Carriage Rides - 4:00 - 6:00pm
Hop on a carriage at Coal Creek Park, 575 Kattell Street before the parade begins.
Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus - 4:00 - 6:00pm in front of the ice rink on Kattell St.
Food for Sale - 47 Bakery, Crumb City Cookies, JLK Kettlecorn, Chick-fil-A
Food vendors will be located at the corner of Briggs & Wells Streets.
Orchard Community Church - 470 Briggs Street - Free Hot Chocolate, snacks and restrooms
Look for the Calvary Bible Church tent (on Briggs Street) also serving Free Hot Chocolate!
There will be Lost Children and First Aid tents located next to the DJ by Fox Dog Coffee on Briggs Street.
Parking
Parking is available in the town along residential streets, in the parking lot at the Erie Methodist Church on Holbrook Street just west of Town Hall and in the Town Hall parking lot at the corner of Holbrook and Cheesman. Do not block fire hydrants. There is no event parking in the alleys as we need free and clear access for First Responders.
Important ADA Parking Information: There are limited handicap parking spaces available in the downtown area. Handicap spaces are limited so these are on a first come, first serve basis. There are very limited handicap spaces behind Orchard Community Church at Moffat Street and in the parking lot south of Coal Creek Park on Kattell Street. You must be in these locations by 5:45pm as access will be unavailable after that time. Please be aware that you will not be able to move your vehicle during the parade.
Parade Route
The Parade of Lights will travel north on Briggs St. from Maxwell Ave. to Cheesman St.
- Walkers will exit at Cheesman St. and proceed to Coal Creek Park.
- Floats will continue north on Briggs St. to Evans St. Floats can deflate/regroup at Calvary Bible Church or continue onto County Line Rd.
No Parking — 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Briggs St. from Maxwell Ave. to Evans St.
- Kattell St. from Moffat St. to Cheesman St.
Street Closures
4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Briggs St. from Anderson St. to Evans St.
- Kattell St. from Moffat St. to Cheesman St.
5:45 PM – 10:00 PM
- Briggs St. fully closed from Perry St. to Evans St.
- All streets intersecting Briggs St. will be closed from Perry St. to Evans St. during the times listed above.
Perry St. to Erie Parkway will start to open as Parade clears
Post Office Access (Until 6:00 PM)
Access the Post Office by traveling north on Kattell St., then west on Moffat St. Continue through the alley heading north into the Post Office parking lot. Exit the same way you entered.
Once the parade begins at 6:30 PM, there will be no vehicle access in or out for residents and businesses east of Briggs St. For emergencies, please call 911.
