Structured Cabling Technician (Traveling)

ALLO is looking for a Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) Structured Cabling Technician to join our team. This role will require travel 1 - 5 days during the week.


* Company vehicle will be provided. *

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Start your day knowing it probably won’t be typical and brand-new tasks not listed below are bound to come up.

  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and document test results for fiber optic lines and low voltage data cables utilizing industry standardized testers.

  • Dress and route Fiber optic cables and low voltage data cabling into data closets, lock boxes and work areas.

  • Fiber optic and low voltage data installation for existing and new construction apartment complexes.

  • Install a structured cabling system including pathways, spaces, horizontal cabling, backbone fiber optic, and testing. This includes understanding applicable codes, standards, and industry-best practices.

  • Obtaining and maintaining ALLO Communications issued tool supply.

  • A gym membership isn’t required but you will be expected to lift up to 80 pounds.

  • Know that working outdoors in all types of weather is a requirement.

 

 

Colorado Residents: typical pay range for this role will be from $17.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on experience.

 

 

 

 

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Associates degree or 1-2 years’ equivalent work experience (Preferred).

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to learn and grasp new concepts on the job. 

  • Clean MVR to drive ALLO Communications vehicles. 

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Raise objects up to 50 lbs

  • Remain upright on feet for extended periods

  • Ability to communicate information

  • Ability to crouch and crawl

  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand

  • Ability to crawl in tight spaces

  • Ability to ascend/descend ladder

  • Ability to carry tools and equipment

  • Ability to operate hand tools and equipment

  • Ability to work in outdoors

  • Ability to work in extreme weather

  • Identify different colors

  • Possess/maintain a valid driver's license
